The most under-rated Dark Star from a year teeming with stellar perfomances.

This one just doesn't get enough love, apparently even from yours truly, who completely spaced the fact that yesterday was the anniversary.

O-ho, so you say this Dark Star is underrated and doesn't get much love?
Here are a couple recent long discussions of this very Dark Star...

But 3 years ago, dr flashback also called this show "unheralded":

Although I'd disagree when he calls this "the last great Star of 1972", as there was still one more to go....but oh well...

If you're looking for a relatively unsung Dark Star, how about this one?

Of course you're correct. I've been beatig the 12/11 drum so long it kind of became a habit to call it underrated. But times have changed.

I treasure the two Texas Stars (11/19 and 26) and have long waited to see the five shows from their excursion to the Lone Star state in November '72 boxed up under the banner 'Texas Swing.'

I was kinda surprised at no love for 12/10/71. Then again, Fall 71 tends to get short shrifted a lot.

12/10 St. Louis was my first Dead bootleg, a copy of the radio broadcast. In an 8-track format to boot!!!!!
